NASB PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Native American Summer Bridge (NASB) program goal is to engage and academically prepare currently enrolled high school juniors and seniors for college. Students receive college credit, are registered SRJC students, and become familiar with what is involved and required in making the transition to college. Backpacks and school supplies are provided, along with dedicated counseling support, and a university campus tour.
NASB began Summer 2016 and is a Student Equity and Achievement (SEA) funded program. The curriculum is a braiding of Western and Cultural Education, including information on the application process for Native American Scholarships, and University Transfer. NASB centers diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism principles, practices, and instruction.
